Robin's Biography
Robin is a poet, world traveler, and humanitarian. She has been a proud sponsor of a
child from Guayaquil, Ecuador through Children International since 2003, and highly
recommends that experience to anyone. From 1998 to 2005 she worked for Jefferson County
Public Schools as an English as a Second Language teacher, where she taught international
children in grades K through 12. In May 2007, she wrote, directed, produced and edited the
short comedy "Dos Equis Beer" (see "favorites" page and scroll down). In June 2005 she
co-directed the short documentary "One" to help promote the ONE Campaign to end global
AIDS and extreme poverty. Each film was featured in one of Louisville's KINO Film
Festivals. She published her first collection of poetry entitled Daydream through
Wasteland Press in 2002. In 2000-01, she studied and worked in Israel, and in 1990
she studied Spanish Literature in Madrid, Spain. She enjoys volunteering for the KY
Campaign for a U.S. Department of Peace and teaching the youth at Unity of Louisville.
